Nikki Carter Secretary

The Carter Group

I’m Nicki Carter from Carter Group. At Carter Group, I take a keen interest in the management of The Crossing and all the businesses that form part of The Crossing, as well as making use of my training as a lawyer. Carter Group is also committed to the ongoing regeneration and success of the central city, and it is very rewarding to be part of projects that will contribute to central Christchurch being a great place to visit, live, work, shop, dine and enjoy the variety and diversity of the central city.

I joined the CCBA because I’m passionate about the central city. I believe we are incredibly fortunate that the central city has been re-built following the earthquakes in a compact and planned manner, and in a way that incorporates pre-earthquake institutions (such as Ballantynes) and welcomes new and exciting developments such as Riverside and The Crossing. Additionally, we are very fortunate to have outstanding public infrastructure, including the Town Hall, Te Pae, Turanga and the Margaret Mahy playground. I believe that the role of the CCBA is to be an advocate for businesses in the central city and also to tell the story to residents and visitors about the central city’s unparalleled offering.

My role on the CCBA Executive is as Secretary. It is a voluntary role, and as Secretary, paperwork seems to come my way.
